Does my Plaza Gift Card ever expire?

The funds on the Plaza Gift Card never expire. However, after 12 months of inactivity the gift card will deduct a nonrefundable $3.00 per month maintenance fee from any remaining balance. To check the issue date on your gift card click here and enter your gift card number, or call the Plaza Customer Service center, 4750 Broadway, at (816) 753-0100. If you have an older gift card your magnetic strip may be expired. Please contact Plaza Customer Service at (816) 753-0100 to see if your card needs to be updated.

For fraud management purposes, the physical plastic Card may be rendered unusable after 18 months. If the Card becomes unusable with a remaining amount, you may present and exchange the unusable card at no charge for a replacement Card which will be activated in the amount remaining on the Card at the time of the exchange. To exchange an unusable Card, please contact Plaza Customer Service (816) 753-0100. The Maintenance Fee, described on the Schedule of Bank Fees, will be assessed through the date when a replacement Card is issued.

Can I redeem my gift card for cash?

Plaza Gift Cards are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash at anytime.

Where can I use my Plaza Gift Card?

Your Plaza Gift Card may be used for making purchases at participating Plaza stores, restaurants and hotels. Your Plaza Gift Card cannot be used or applied as payment to any account or loan.

Can I place a tip on my Plaza Gift Card?

The Plaza Gift Card may not be used to pay for tips or other gratuities.

Can I purchase a Plaza Gift Card online?

Plaza Gift Cards may be purchased online. Click here to place an online order. The Plaza Gift Card will arrive with attractive Country Club Plaza packaging. All gift cards are sent via UPS. However, if the order is within the Kansas City area, cards can be sent via local messenger service. We are happy to ship gift cards directly to you or to your selected recipient(s). You may also pick up your order at Plaza Customer Service. Gift Cards are available in any denominations from $5 up to $500.

Please allow 24 hours for your order to be processed. Orders placed on Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday will not be processed until that following business day.

How do I use the Plaza Gift Card?

First, check to see if the store accepts The Plaza Gift Card. Then, let the store associate know you are using the Plaza Gift Card before they start to ring in your purchase. Stores will need to know the balance on your Plaza Gift Card. Once the purchase is complete, check the approval code on your receipt to see your latest card balance. The amount will read with an X in place of the decimal point. Example 58X17 = $58.17

What if I want to spend more than the card value?

The Plaza Gift Card can usually be combined with another form of payment to complete a purchase. Be sure to notify the cashier before they process your purchase. Please note that some stores are not able to do a split payment transaction.

What happens if my Plaza Gift Card is lost or stolen?

Notify Plaza Customer Service as soon as possible. Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaced without adequate proof of purchase (original gift card receipt), and the corresponding gift card number. Please treat the Plaza Gift Card as cash, if it is lost or stolen there is the possibility of the card being used by someone other than yourself. We are not able to restore funds to the Plaza Gift Card at anytime.

How do I keep track of my balance?

You can check your gift card balance at www.getmybalance.com, by calling 1-800-755-0085, or take your Plaza Gift Card into Plaza Customer Service for assistance. You can also write in your latest balance in the space provided on the back of the card. As well, when you use your Plaza Gift Card, the approval code at the bottom of your receipt represents your remaining balance. Example 58X17 = $58.17

What if I want to return items purchased with my Plaza Gift Card?

Depending on the retailer’s return policy, Plaza merchants will give store credit for returns.

Is the Customer Service Center the only location I can purchase a Plaza Gift Card?

Yes, Plaza Customer Service is the only location to purchase a Plaza Gift Card. We are located at 4750 Broadway, just north of Williams Sonoma. Gift Card hours are Monday – Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday noon-6pm. Don’t forget ONLINE ORDERING IS NOW AVAILABLE! Simply place your order online and have it sent to you or your recipient.

Can I have a gift card mailed to me?

Plaza Gift Cards can be purchased online and sent via UPS, for an extra $8 charge. Local orders can also be sent via courier (extra courier fees are based upon zip code and time of delivery).
